Dana R. Varab is an appointed second-year trustee of Post 40 (Pat Tillman Memorial) Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S.

Dana served in the United States Army Reserves from 2000-2005 and the California Army National Guard from 2005 and retired in 2024, earning her VFW eligibility by serving in Iraq. In recognition of her service, she received Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (5th award), Army Achievement Medal (6th award), Army Good Conduct Medal(4thaward), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (2ndaward) National Defense Service medal (2nd award), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal(2nd award) Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ M Device, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Army National Guard Recruiter Badge-Master.

She joined the VFW in 2024 at Post 40 in Avondale, Arizona, where she maintains her Life Membership.

Dana and her wife, Brittany Wilson (Also VFW Post 40 Member and Marine Veteran), reside in Avondale, Arizona.
